The values I embody is the motivation to whom I will be and do.

Self-motivation

Self-motivated is the ability to be continuous in ability or service, despite of failure and circumstance. I consider myself self-motivated since, I don't rely on the appraisal or recognition of others to continue a task. I recognize that it is being self-motivated that I accomplish things and it gives off satisfaction of doing something on my own. I embodied self-motivation greatly when I sold churros in the beaches and parks for the purpose of paying my tuition at Biola. I was motivated to be a student at Biola even though I had no financial support for Biola. Thus, I knew I had to work harder than others in order to obtain my dream of being a Biola undergrad student.

Hardworking

Hardworking is the capability to stay persistent and produce excellence to a specific task or duty. A person who has the virtue of hardworking is able to accomplish a project in time, meets all the expected requirements, and is able to manage different duties at a time. I believe I demonstrate the trait of hardworking since I was able to have 3 jobs while being a student at Biola. When having three jobs I was able to get promoted in upper management while, maintaining excellent grades in school.

Joy

Joy is the expression of pure happiness that is constant during turmoil and contempt. In my life, I have been witness of homelessness and abandonment yet, I have always kept a positive mindset in life. It is my faith in God, that has allowed me to obtain joy despite of trials. A verse that embodies the definition of joy is, “I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God.For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels” (Isaiah 61:10).

Compassion

Compassion is the demonstration of kindness or action of generosity for the benefit of another. Being compassionate is illustrating the love of God to a stranger, neighbor, or even an enemy. A funny example of me acting in compassion is every summer I had water bottles in my car. So, when I see a homeless person in need for help, I gave them water. I have handing out water bottles for two years now.

Ambitious

Ambition is a trait that develops and pursue s a grand idea or goal. A person who is ambitous is able develop an idea that is percepieved impossible, however is able to achieve it through self-motivation. A moment I illustrated ambition was when I wanted to host a Christmas outreach for motel families in the city of Norwalk. Although I had no funds, location to host the festival and people to donate too. In two months I was able to get funded $3,000, a hall to rent and 10 families to donate to.
