Calling | My Life Dream

Where I came from:

My dream is influenced by the environment I grew up in. I was raised by a single parent who is financially considered as "lower economic class". I lived in a mini mansion in Redlands to being homeless living in an office at Downey. During middle school, I helped my mom with a catering business called "Happy Tacos" and in high school to sophomore year at Biola University I started selling churros at the beach and parks. As the oldest, it was duty to relieve the financial burden for my mom. However, school was my escape from the financial and housing instability. In school I was able to be whoever I wanted, I wasn't limited by my financial status, family environment or my childhood experience.

In 2016, my understanding of life changed. I partnered with an organization called "By Grace Trust". I was responsible for being a biblical teacher for the entire month I was in Komorock Phase 4 in Kenya, Africa. In this orphanage I worked with children who suffered with HIV, Street Kids, children who were prostituted and orphans. The more I interacted with the kids, the more they vocalized their stories. I heard stories of sickness, abuse, poverty, child labor and abandonment. Hearing their stories, I saw glimpses of my story and my struggle with my family. Although, the children and I are from different cultures I recognized myself in them. It was that summer, I decided was going to pursue business for the purpose of creating my own business. In hopes that companies would sponsor my non-profit, "Agape Children's Home".

My Vocational Goal/ Life Purpose:

My vocational goal is to start up my own business and/or be a consultant for other business. My roles would be reconstructing sales in-store representatives and sales in-home consultant departments. I would create scripts and training manuals that would assist the sales representative to either book appointment or sign contracts. The expectation would be that as I establish relationships with corporate, I would advertise them to be a yearly sponsor for my organization. I would encourage their sponsorship by educating them in how the money would be distributed within the organization, Tax-right offs, and for public advertisement.

The HEART of "Agape Children's Home" is to provide education and boarding to children in third world countries with a special program for children with disabilities. The goal of this school is to give a child sound interpretation of theology while equipping them for Universities and job opportunities. When I went to Kenya, I was told stories that families would abandon or kill children who were mentally or physically disabled since they weren’t an asset to the family. It was these stories that I was moved to create a program for disabled children. This program would house the children, provide physical aid and teach them labor skills. The long-term goal is to build leaders in their communities, build future businessman and educators, and provide work skills for children who have disabilities.
